This is a yummy pasta dish with mushrooms and tomato sauce. You cook everything in one pot. It has spaghetti, mushrooms, and cheese. It's easy to make for dinner!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
2 cups water
8 ounces uncooked spaghetti, broken in half
1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Method

Heat the olive oil in a 6-quart saucepot over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.

Add the marinara sauce, water, and broken spaghetti to the saucepot and bring to a boil.

Cover and reduce the heat to medium-low.

Cook for 20 minutes or until the spaghetti is tender, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the shredded Parmesan cheese and season to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh basil if desired.
