Honey-Lime Grilled Cheese with Sesame Recipe

This is a yummy cheese dish. We grill thick slices of cheese until they are golden. Then we put a sweet and tangy sauce on top. It's a little bit spicy and very delicious!

Ingredients

1/2 tsp sesame seeds

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 pinch of sea salt

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

100 g honey

500 g halloumi cheese

1 lime

1 tbsp olive oil

Method

Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat.

Cut the halloumi into 4 thick slices.

Brush each slice of halloumi with olive oil.

Grill the halloumi for about 3-5 minutes on each side, until it has a nice golden color and crispy edges.

While the halloumi is grilling, toast the sesame and cumin seeds in a dry pan until they start to pop and become fragrant.

Crush the toasted seeds with a pinch of sea salt using a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder.

Mix the crushed seeds with smoked paprika and honey in a small bowl.

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice over the grilled halloumi.

Drizzle the spiced honey mixture over the warm halloumi slices.

Serve the halloumi immediately, garnished with lime zest if desired.
