Creamy Garlic Chicken with Mushrooms and Green Beans recipe


This is a yummy chicken dish with mushrooms and green beans in a creamy garlic sauce. We cook chicken until it's golden, then make a sauce with garlic, mushrooms, and cream. We add green beans for a fresh crunch. It's a warm, creamy meal for dinner.


1 lb chicken breasts, boneless skinless
1/2 lb green beans, trimmed
1/2 lb cremini mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup white wine
1/2 cup chicken broth
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste


Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they're tender and browned, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and dried oregano to the mushrooms, stirring until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in the white wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Stir in the Dijon mustard and heavy cream, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook until the sauce begins to thicken, about 3-4 minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, steam the green beans until they are bright green and tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
Return the chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to reheat the chicken.
Serve the chicken topped with the creamy mushroom sauce and a side of steamed green beans.
