Creamy Chicken and Spinach Orzo recipe


This is a yummy pasta dish with chicken and spinach. It has a creamy sauce and is topped with cheese. It's easy to make and tastes really good. You cook chicken, make a sauce with spinach, and mix it with pasta.


4 boneless chicken breasts
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp smoked paprika
300 g cherry tomatoes, halved
2 cloves of garlic, minced
300 g orzo
250 ml chicken stock
300 g passata
120 ml heavy cream
100 g baby spinach
50 g grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste


Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, oregano, and smoked paprika.
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil, halved cherry tomatoes, and minced garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes until the tomatoes are slightly softened.
Stir in the orzo, chicken stock, and passata. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Slice the cooked chicken into strips and add back to the skillet with the orzo. Pour in the heavy cream and add the baby spinach, stirring until the spinach wilts and the sauce thickens.
Remove from heat, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, and serve hot.
