This easy Caramel Apple Nachos recipe with crispy cinnamon sugar tortilla chips, caramel, whipped cream, and fresh apples is the most delicious fall dessert!
Ingredients
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup olive oil
4 small flour tortillas
2 apples
1 cup whipped cream
1/4 cup caramel topping
Method
1
Mix together ½ cup of sugar and the cinnamon. Set aside.
2
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry flour tortillas on both sides until golden.
3
Place the fried tortillas on paper towels and sprinkle both sides with cinnamon sugar.
4
Cut the tortillas into triangles. Chop a couple of triangles into small bits for garnish.
5
Dice the apples and set aside. If preparing ahead of time, you can put the diced apples in club soda for about 3 minutes to prevent browning. Or choose apples that are slow to brown.
6
Line pint sized berry baskets with waxed paper. Layer the cinnamon chips, whipped cream, and diced apples. Drizzle with caramel topping and top with a sprinkle cinnamon chip crumbles.
