These beef taco pockets are like little pillows filled with tasty ground beef and cheese. You wrap the beef in dough and bake it until golden. It's a fun dinner!

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 cup salsa
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
2 packages (13.8 ounces each) refrigerated pizza crust
1 1/2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese

Method

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, then drain any excess fat.

Stir in 3/4 cup of salsa into the beef and simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat to cool slightly.

In a small bowl, beat the egg with the water to make an egg wash.

Roll out one pizza crust on a floured surface into a 12 x 8-inch rectangle and cut into 4 equal rectangles.

Spoon about 1/3 cup of the beef mixture onto each rectangle and top with 2 tablespoons of cheese.

Fold the dough over the filling, sealing the edges by pressing with a fork, and place on a baking sheet.

Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle with a little more cheese.

Repeat with the second pizza crust.

Bake for 15 minutes or until the pockets are golden brown.

Serve with the remaining salsa for dipping.
