Warm Vegetable and Pear Salad recipe


This is a yummy warm salad with sweet pears, crunchy nuts, and tasty cheese. It has cooked veggies and a sweet dressing. It's good for dinner and makes you feel happy and healthy!


2 medium pears, cored and sliced
1/4 cup apple cider
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 large fennel bulb, halved, cored and thinly sliced
4 cups shredded red cabbage
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted


Peel and slice the pears, then toss them with the apple cider in a bowl to coat.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced fennel and sauté until it's slightly soft, about 3 minutes.
Mix in the red cabbage with the fennel and cook until the cabbage is tender, about 5 minutes.
To the skillet, add the pears with apple cider, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients. Cook until the liquid has mostly evaporated, about 2 minutes.
Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the salad to a serving dish.
Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese and toasted pecans over the top of the warm salad.
Serve the salad warm or at room temperature, enjoying the mix of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors.
