Turkey and Sausage Quesadillas recipe

This is a yummy, cheesy quesadilla with turkey and sausage. It has spices and veggies inside. You cook it in a pan until it's crispy. Cut it into pieces and eat with dips like salsa.

Ingredients

2 Turkey Cutlets (about 300 g)
1 Spicy Italian Sausage (150 g)
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Chili Powder
1 Tsp Dried Thyme
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Yellow Onion
2 Garlic Cloves
200 g Grated Cheddar Cheese
8 Flour Tortillas
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Salsa, for serving
Greek Yogurt, for serving
Pico de Gallo, for serving

Method

Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the turkey cutlets for about 5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove and let cool before dicing into small pieces.

In the same pan, cook the spicy Italian sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain excess fat.

Dice the green bell pepper and yellow onion, and mince the garlic cloves.

In a bowl, mix the diced turkey, cooked sausage, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, dried thyme, and black pepper.

In the same pan, add a bit of olive oil and sauté the bell pepper, onion, and garlic for about 3 minutes until softened.

Combine the vegetables with the turkey and sausage mixture.

Place a tortilla in the pan, sprinkle a layer of cheddar cheese, add some of the turkey and sausage mixture, and top with more cheese. Cover with another tortilla.

Cook until the bottom tortilla is golden brown, then flip carefully to brown the other side.

Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Cut each quesadilla into quarters and serve with salsa, Greek yogurt, and pico de gallo.
