Sweet and Spicy Glazed Tofu and Bell Pepper Skewers recipe


This is a yummy dish with tofu and bell peppers on sticks. They are covered in a sweet and spicy sauce. You cook them until they are a little bit brown. It's fun to eat and tastes really good!


400 g firm tofu
2 medium bell peppers
6 spring onions
2 tbsp miso paste
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame seeds


Cut the tofu into 2 cm cubes and press with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Cut the bell peppers into 2 cm pieces and the spring onions into 3 cm lengths.
In a bowl, mix together miso paste, soy sauce, maple syrup, red pepper flakes, vegetable oil, and rice vinegar to create the glaze.
Thread the tofu, bell pepper, and spring onion onto skewers, alternating between them.
Brush the skewers with the glaze and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
Preheat a grill or griddle pan over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the tofu is golden and the vegetables are slightly charred, basting occasionally with the remaining glaze.
Sprinkle sesame seeds over the skewers before serving.
