Ingredients

500 g Ground Turkey
2 Garlic Cloves
1 Red Onion
30 g Fresh Cilantro
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Cajun Seasoning
1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
1 Jar (200 g) of Roasted Red Peppers
80 g Roasted Cashews
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
15 g Dijon Mustard
1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
4 Whole Wheat Pita Breads
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste

Method

1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic, finely chopped red onion, and half of the chopped cilantro.
2
Mix in the soy sauce, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Season with salt and pepper, then form the mixture into 16 meatballs.
3
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
4
For the sauce, drain the roasted red peppers and place them in a blender with the roasted cashews, blending until smooth. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
5
In a pan over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook for 5 minutes, turning occasionally until they're browned on all sides.
6
Glaze the meatballs by drizzling maple syrup and Dijon mustard over them, tossing to coat evenly.
7
Warm the pita breads in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
8
Serve the meatballs with the roasted pepper sauce, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and the remaining cilantro. Enjoy with the warm pita breads.
