Spicy Spinach and Cheese Flatbread recipe

This is a yummy flatbread filled with cheese and spinach. It's spicy and has a golden crust. You mix flour and water to make dough, add cheese and spinach, and cook it in a pan. It's cheesy and perfect for a snack or meal.

Ingredients

200 g Whole Wheat Flour
140 ml Warm Water
1 Tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
100 g Baby Spinach
200 g Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
100 g Feta Cheese, crumbled
1 Tbsp Butter

Method

In a large bowl, combine 200 g of whole wheat flour with 1 tsp of salt. Gradually add 140 ml of warm water, mixing until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it's smooth. Add 1 tbsp of olive oil and continue to knead until the oil is fully incorporated. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.

While the dough rests, chop 100 g of baby spinach and set aside.

Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll each into a ball.

Roll out one dough ball into a circle about 2mm thick. Sprinkle a quarter of the red pepper flakes, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, and chopped spinach over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge.

Roll out another dough ball to the same size and place it on top of the filling. Press the edges to seal, using a little water if necessary.

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1/2 tbsp of butter. Once melted, place the stuffed flatbread in the pan.

Cook for about 4 minutes on each side or until the flatbread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.

Cut each flatbread into quarters and serve hot.
