Spicy Mango BBQ Chicken Wings Recipe

Spicy Mango BBQ Chicken Wings recipe
Kalefornia Kravings

Sweet, spicy and so easy to make! These mango bbq chicken wings are baked until crisp and then slathered with a simple 3 ingredient sauce!

Ingredients

2 lb.s chicken wings
Avocado oil spray, to coat the chicken (can use regular avocado oil instead)
Salt & pepper, to taste
1½ cups mango cubes, pureed
1 cup spicy bbq sauce (I used Stubbs sweet heat sauce)
3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
¼ cup cilantro, chopped

Method

1
Combine the pureed mango, bbq sauce, lime juice and chopped cilantro in a bowl. Set it aside and prepare your wings. (To puree the mango, just place your fresh mango cubes in a food processor and blend them until smooth.)
2
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper. Place a metal rack on top of the parchment paper and set it aside.
3
Pat the chicken wings dry and place them in a plastic bag. Spray them liberally with your avocado oil spray (or drizzle them with avocado oil).
4
Place the wings on the metal rack (make sure they're not touching) and season both sides with salt and pepper. Bake the wings for 25 minutes. Once they're done, take them out and brush them on both sides with your bbq sauce. Bake them for another 5 minutes. (I also like to broil mine for 3-4 more minutes after to this to get them slightly charred and crispy.)
5
Serve immediately with extra bbq sauce and lime slices on the side.
