Spicy Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad recipe

This is a yummy salad with grilled chicken and a spicy dressing. It has crunchy croutons and cheese on top. You mix everything in a big bowl and eat it!

Ingredients

4 boneless chicken breast halves (about 500 g total)
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tbsp hot sauce
1 tsp olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small baguette (about 200 g)
1 tbsp olive oil for croutons
1 tbsp mixed sesame seeds
1 egg yolk
3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
50 g grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
1 lemon, juiced
3 heads romaine lettuce, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Season the chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and pepper. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Set aside to cool, then slice into strips.

In a small bowl, mix the hot sauce, olive oil, and minced garlic. Brush this mixture over the grilled chicken strips.

Cut the baguette into bite-sized cubes. Toss with 1 tbsp olive oil, mixed sesame seeds, and a pinch of salt. Spread on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.

For the dressing, whisk together the egg yolk, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, grated Parmesan, and lemon juice. Gradually whisk in 2 tbsp water to reach the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and grilled chicken. Drizzle with the dressing and toss to combine.

Serve the salad on plates and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese.
