Simple chicken and vegetable stir fry for toddlers recipe recipe

A chicken or vegetable stir fry is a great dish for getting children who are shy of vegetables to enjoy them.

Ingredients

400g chicken (cut into chunks or strips)
1 tbsp olive oil (or groundnut oil)
100g broccoli
100g carrot, sliced
6 spring onions , finely chopped
Garlic (1x clove), crushed

Method

Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan or wok

Over a high heat stir-fry the chicken strips until they are golden and cooked through, about 4 minutes - remove to a warm plate

Add the vegetables and stir-fry for a few more minutes until just tender

Add the garlic and stir for a minute, then return the chicken to the pan

Now add any sauce of your choosing; black bean, soy sauce, sweet chilli, oyster sauce etc
