Shrimp and Spicy Sausage Rice recipe


This is a yummy dish with rice, spicy sausage, and shrimp. It's got tomatoes and a little bit of spice from peppers. You cook it all in one pan and it's ready in half an hour!


200 g spicy sausage, sliced
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp chopped jalapeños
300 g grape tomatoes, halved
300 g long-grain white rice
700 ml vegetable broth
200 g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste


Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced spicy sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and chopped jalapeños to the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in the halved grape tomatoes and cook until they start to soften, about 3 minutes.
Pour the rice into the skillet and stir to combine with the sausage, garlic, jalapeños, and tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add the vegetable broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Place the shrimp on top of the rice, cover, and cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
