Sausage and Green Bean Skillet recipe


This is a yummy dish with spicy sausage slices and sweet onions. It's cooked in a pan until the onions are soft. Then, we add green beans and cook it all together. It's good on top of rice!


4 Louisiana hot link sausages, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cans (14.5 ounces each) French style green beans, with juice
1 cup white rice, uncooked


Cook 1 cup of white rice according to package instructions; set aside to serve with the skillet.
In a large skillet, brown the sausage slices with the chopped onion over medium heat until the onion is translucent.
Add the green beans with their juice to the skillet with the sausage and onions.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Serve the sausage and green bean mixture over the cooked rice.
