Ingredients

4 bratwurst sausages
800 g red cabbage, thinly sliced
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp caraway seeds
1/4 tsp ground allspice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 kg baby potatoes, halved
3 tbsp whole grain mustard
2 tbsp honey
1/4 cup chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste

Method

1
Preheat your oven to 230°C (450°F).
2
In a large bowl, toss the halved baby potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and set aside.
3
In a separate large bowl, mix the sliced red cabbage with balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, caraway seeds, allspice, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
4
Place the cabbage mixture in a large baking dish and nestle the bratwurst sausages on top.
5
Put both the potatoes and the cabbage with sausages into the oven. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring the potatoes and flipping the sausages halfway through, until the cabbage is wilted and the sausages are browned.
6
While the potatoes and sausages are roasting, mix the whole grain mustard and honey in a small bowl.
7
Once the potatoes are roasted, transfer them to a large bowl and toss with the mustard-honey mixture and chopped parsley.
8
Serve the glazed potatoes alongside the roasted bratwurst and sweet-sour cabbage.
