This is a sweet dessert with layers of crispy puff pastry and creamy filling. It has fresh berries and a sprinkle of sugar on top. It's like a fancy sandwich made with pastry and fruit cream. You can share it with a friend or enjoy it all by yourself.

Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
200 g cream cheese
250 ml heavy cream
3 Tbsp powdered sugar, divided
1 Tsp almond extract
75 g strawberries, sliced
75 g blackberries
Mint leaves for garnish

Method

1
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Cut the puff pastry sheet into 8 equal rectangles and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
2
Bake the puff pastry for 10-15 minutes or until they puff up and turn golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool.
3
While the pastry is cooling, melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the strawberries and blackberries with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar. Cook for about 5 minutes until the berries soften and release their juices. Set aside to cool.
4
In a mixing bowl, combine 200 grams of cream cheese with 250 milliliters of heavy cream, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of almond extract. Beat until the mixture is smooth and forms soft peaks.
5
To assemble, place one piece of cooled puff pastry on a plate. Spread a layer of the cream mixture over the pastry, then spoon some of the berry mixture on top. Add another piece of puff pastry and repeat the layers.
6
Garnish the top layer with a dusting of powdered sugar and a few mint leaves. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
