This is a warm, sweet treat with crunchy pecans and soft pears. You mix fruit and spices into a batter, fry it until it's crispy, and cover it with a sweet honey glaze. It's a yummy snack for any time!

Ingredients

3 Bosc Pears (300 g)
1/4 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/2 Orange
2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
180 g All-Purpose Flour
40 g Chopped Pecans
1 Tsp Baking Powder
220 ml Almond Milk
150 g Powdered Sugar
2 Tbsp Honey
Vegetable Oil for frying

Method

1
In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, all-purpose flour, chopped pecans, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
2
Cut the pears into small cubes and add them to the bowl.
3
Grate the zest of half an orange into the bowl with the pear mixture.
4
Pour in 220 ml of almond milk and stir the mixture until a thick batter forms.
5
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat, ready for frying.
6
Carefully spoon the batter into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan, and fry for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
7
While the fritters are frying, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with honey and 2 tablespoons of hot water until smooth.
8
Remove the fritters from the oil and let them cool on paper towels to drain excess oil.
9
Drizzle the honey glaze over the warm fritters before serving.
