This is a yummy salad with tomatoes, cheese, and a special dressing. It's like a rainbow with red, white, and green colors. You chop up tomatoes, cheese, and cucumbers, then mix them with a tasty dressing. It's easy to make and very delicious!

Ingredients

6 medium vine tomatoes

2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

2 balls of mozzarella cheese

1 large cucumber

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Method

Cut the tomatoes and cucumber into bite-sized pieces and place them in a colander. Sprinkle with sea salt and let sit for 10 minutes to drain excess water.

In a small jar, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper. Close the lid and shake well to create the dressing.

Tear the mozzarella balls into small pieces and add them to a large salad bowl.

Chop the basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes and cucumber.

Pour the dressing over the salad and gently toss everything together until well coated.

Serve the salad immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
