Honey-Soy Glazed Chicken with Green Bean Salad recipe


This is a yummy chicken dish with a sweet and savory glaze. It comes with a fresh green bean salad. The chicken is cooked until it's golden. The salad is crunchy and has a tasty dressing.


680 g chicken breasts, boneless skinless
1 small bunch cilantro
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 red bell pepper
400 g green beans
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Black pepper


Wash and dry the fresh produce.
Trim the ends off the green beans and cut the red bell pepper into thin strips.
In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to create the glaze.
In another bowl, mix sesame seeds with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Brush the chicken with the honey-soy glaze, then press into the sesame seed mixture to coat.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side.
While the chicken cooks, blanch the green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and cool under cold water.
In a large bowl, toss the green beans and red bell pepper strips with sesame oil, a pinch of salt, and chopped cilantro leaves.
Slice the cooked chicken and serve with the fresh green bean salad on the side.
