Honey Glazed Chicken with Garlic Rice recipe


This is a yummy chicken dish with a sweet honey glaze. The chicken is juicy and has sesame seeds on top. It comes with rice that has a little garlic taste. It's a warm and filling meal for dinner.


8 Chicken Thighs
2 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Grated Ginger
2 Cloves of Garlic, minced
50 g Sesame Seeds
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
400 g Jasmine Rice
2 Tbsp Chopped Green Onions for garnish


Preheat oven to 180°C/356°F.
In a bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 minced garlic clove.
Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the honey mixture over them, making sure each piece is well coated.
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, basting with the pan juices every 15 minutes.
While the chicken is cooking, rinse the jasmine rice until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions, adding the remaining minced garlic clove to the cooking water for flavor.
Once the chicken is done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Serve the glazed chicken over the garlic-flavored jasmine rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
