Homemade Spicy Turkey Chorizo Recipe

Stashcook

This is a yummy meat mix you can make at home. It's like the spicy sausage you might have tasted in tacos. We use turkey and special spices to make it. You can cook it in a pan and add it to pasta or eggs.

Ingredients

4 cloves of garlic
1 tsp coriander seeds
500 g ground turkey
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp chipotle chili powder
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried marjoram
1/2 tsp ground cumin

Method

1
Peel and finely mince the garlic.
2
In a dry pan, toast the coriander seeds for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then crush them using a pestle and mortar.
3
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar.
4
Add the minced garlic, crushed coriander seeds, chipotle chili powder, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, dried oregano, dried marjoram, and ground cumin to the turkey mixture.
5
Use your hands to mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
6
Form the mixture into small patties or leave it loose to cook as desired.
7
You can cook the chorizo right away or store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days to let the flavors meld together before cooking.
