Herbed Puff Pastry Pinwheels recipe


This is a yummy snack made with puff pastry, herbs, and garlic. It's rolled up and cut into little wheels. They are baked until they're golden and crispy. It's a vegan treat that's great for sharing!


2 sheets of vegan puff pastry (320 g each)
40 g fresh parsley
2 garlic cloves
60 ml olive oil
30 ml almond milk
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tbsp poppy seeds


Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
Blend the parsley, garlic cloves, and olive oil in a food processor until you get a smooth herby oil.
Unroll one sheet of puff pastry and brush it generously with the herby oil. Sprinkle nutritional yeast evenly over the top.
Roll the pastry sheet tightly from the long side and slice into 2 cm (about 3/4 inch) wide pinwheels.
Place the pinwheels on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, making sure they are not touching.
In a small bowl, mix the almond milk and maple syrup, then brush the mixture over the pinwheels to glaze them.
Sprinkle poppy seeds on top of each pinwheel.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
