This is a yummy steak with a fresh salad. The steak is soaked in a tasty sauce. Then it's cooked just right. The salad has crunchy pears, nuts, and cheese. It's a good meal for dinner.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 kg flank steak
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 ripe pears, cored and sliced
1/2 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
100 g feta cheese, crumbled
1 large head of romaine lettuce, chopped
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method

1
In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, rosemary, thyme, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
2
Season the flank steak with salt and pepper, then place it in the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes at room temperature.
3
While the steak marinates, prepare the salad by placing the chopped romaine lettuce in a large bowl.
4
Add the sliced pears, toasted pecans, and crumbled feta cheese to the lettuce.
5
In a small bowl, whisk together extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice, then drizzle over the salad. Toss gently to combine.
6
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
7
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice it against the grain into thin strips.
8
Serve the steak with the pear, pecan, and feta salad on the side.
