Hearty British Breakfast Bake recipe


This is a yummy breakfast that has eggs, sausages, and more. You put everything on a tray and cook it in the oven. It's like a big, warm breakfast that you can share with your family or friends.


1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
4 cloves of garlic, minced
300 g button mushrooms, halved
4 thick slices of whole grain bread, torn into pieces
8 strips of smoked bacon, cut in half
8 pork chipolatas
300 g grape tomatoes
5 large eggs
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
200 g baked beans, for serving


Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic with the olive oil, chives, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Place the torn bread pieces on a large baking tray.
Toss the halved mushrooms in the garlic oil mixture, then scatter them over the bread.
Arrange the bacon strips and chipolatas on the tray, interspersing them with the grape tomatoes.
Cover the tray with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue to bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the bacon and sausages are golden brown.
Make five wells in the bake and crack an egg into each well. Season the eggs with a little salt and pepper.
Return the tray to the oven and bake for 6 more minutes, or until the egg whites are just set but the yolks are still runny.
Serve hot, with baked beans on the side.
