This is a yummy pasta sauce with beef and bacon. It has tomatoes, milk, and wine. You cook it for a long time to make it taste really good. Then you put it on noodles and add cheese.

Ingredients

3 Bay Leaves
350 ml Milk
700 g Beef Mince
2 x (400 g) Tinned Tomatoes
4 Cloves of Garlic
2 Celery Sticks
2 Carrots
1 Large Onion
500 g Spaghetti
150 ml Red Wine
250 g Smoked Bacon
50 g Parmesan Cheese (To Serve)
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Dried Basil

Method

1
Chop the bacon into bite-size pieces and fry in a large pan until crispy. Remove and set aside.
2
In the same pan, add the beef mince and cook until browned. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks.
3
Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic cloves, diced celery sticks, and diced carrots to the pan with the beef. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
4
Pour in the red wine and let it reduce for about 2 minutes on high heat.
5
Add the tinned tomatoes, milk, bay leaves, dried oregano, and dried basil. Stir well.
6
Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low simmer. Cover and cook for 90 minutes, stirring occasionally. If the sauce is too thick, add a little water.
7
After 90 minutes, remove the lid, add the crispy bacon back into the sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer uncovered for another 15 minutes.
8
While the sauce is finishing, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
9
Drain the spaghetti and toss it with the bolognese sauce.
10
Serve the pasta with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
