Grilled Salmon Burgers with Dill Mayo recipe


This recipe is for yummy fish burgers made with fresh salmon. You mix the salmon with spices and make it into patties. Then you grill them and put them on soft rolls with a special mayo sauce. It's a fun meal for a sunny day!


4 Fresh Salmon Fillets (450 g)
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Fresh Dill, chopped
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
2 Green Onions, finely chopped
1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
4 Whole Wheat Rolls
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste


Chop the salmon fillets into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
Add the chopped green onions, lemon zest, 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to the salmon. Mix until well combined.
Form the salmon mixture into 4 equal-sized patties. Place them on a plate, cover with plastic wrap, and let them sit in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to firm up.
While the patties are chilling, prepare the dill mayo. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon chopped dill, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and brush the grill grate with olive oil.
Grill the salmon patties for about 7 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 7 minutes on the other side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
While the patties are grilling, cut the whole wheat rolls in half and toast them lightly on the grill.
To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of dill mayo on the bottom half of each roll. Place a grilled salmon patty on top, add another dollop of dill mayo, and cover with the top half of the roll.
Serve the grilled salmon burgers immediately with your choice of sides.
