Custard Pie Recipe

Custard Pie recipe

Stashcook

This is a creamy pie with a smooth custard filling. It's baked in a crust and can be enjoyed as a sweet treat. You mix eggs, milk, and sugar to make it, then bake until it's just right!

Ingredients

1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch)
4 large eggs
2 1/4 cups whole milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 cup fresh blueberries

Method

1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2
Roll out your pie dough and place it into a 9-inch pie plate. Trim and flute the edges, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3
In a large bowl, whisk together 4 eggs, 2 1/4 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
4
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour evenly over the bottom of the pie crust. This will help prevent a soggy crust.
5
Pour the custard mixture into the pie crust and scatter 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries on top.
6
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the custard is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
7
Let the pie cool on a wire rack for 1 hour, then refrigerate it for at least 3 hours before serving.
