This is a yummy dish made with cauliflower. It's like popcorn but made from a vegetable. The cauliflower is coated and fried until it's crispy. Then, it's tossed in a sweet and garlicky sauce. It's good for a snack or a side dish.

Ingredients

1 large cauliflower
3 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground ginger
3 cloves of garlic, minced
4 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
60 ml water
2 tsp sesame seeds
3 cups vegetable oil for frying
Salt and pepper to taste

Method

1
Start by cooking your favorite rice according to the package instructions if you want to serve the cauliflower bites over rice.
2
Cut the cauliflower into medium-sized florets.
3
In a bowl, mix together 3 tbsp cornstarch, 3 tbsp all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Gradually add water and stir until you have a smooth batter.
4
Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter, making sure they are well coated.
5
Heat 3 cups of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry the battered cauliflower for about 6 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
6
For the sauce, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a separate pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ground ginger, and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
7
Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Let the sauce simmer for 2 minutes.
8
In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp of cornstarch with 2 tbsp of water and pour into the sauce to thicken it.
9
Add the fried cauliflower to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
10
Sprinkle sesame seeds over the cauliflower bites and serve immediately, either alone or over rice.
