This bread is a yummy treat with cranberries and a hint of orange. It's like a cake and bread in one! You mix flour, sugar, and other things to make it. Then you bake it until it's just right!

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon orange zest

1 cup sour cream

1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Method

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a bowl, mix together 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

In another bowl, cream together 1/2 cup softened butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, then stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon orange zest.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with 1 cup sour cream, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Fold in 1 1/2 cups cranberries and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts into the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
