Chocolate Sauce recipe


This is a sweet, chocolatey sauce that you can pour over your desserts. You mix sugar, cocoa, and milk in a pot and cook it until it's thick. Then you add vanilla and butter to make it yummy!


1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 1/2 cups whole milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


In a medium saucepan, whisk together the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and sea salt.
Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Serve the chocolate sauce warm over your favorite desserts, such as ice cream or cake.
