Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies recipe


These cookies are a sweet treat with chocolate chips and oats. You mix butter, sugar, and eggs, then add flour, oats, and chocolate. Scoop the dough onto a tray and bake until they're yummy and golden!


225 g unsalted butter, softened
180 g light brown sugar
100 g granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs
250 g all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
100 g rolled oats
200 g semisweet chocolate chips
100 g chopped walnuts (optional)


Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Stir in the rolled oats, semisweet chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts if using.
Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
