Cheesy Bacon and Tomato Grilled Sandwich recipe


This is a yummy sandwich with crispy bacon, melted cheese, and juicy tomatoes. It's grilled until golden and served with fresh lettuce. It's a warm and tasty meal for lunch or dinner.


8 slices of smoked bacon
4 large slices of tomato
4 leaves of romaine lettuce
200 g sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
8 slices of whole grain bread
4 tsp Dijon mustard
Butter for grilling
Salt and pepper to taste


Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the bacon and set aside on paper towels to drain.
While the bacon is cooking, slice the tomatoes and season them with salt and pepper. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.
Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Flip and spread Dijon mustard on the other side of four bread slices.
On the non-buttered side of four bread slices, layer the shredded cheese, cooked bacon, and tomato slices. Top with more cheese and close the sandwiches with the remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
Grill the sandwiches in the same skillet over medium heat, pressing down with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Cut the sandwiches in half, serve with a lettuce leaf on the side, and enjoy!
