This is a yummy snack made with popcorn, sweet caramel, and little bits of chocolate. It's crunchy, sweet, and a little bit salty. You cook the popcorn, mix it with caramel, and add chocolate chips. It's fun to eat and share!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
75 grams (1/2 cup) popcorn kernels
120 milliliters (1/2 cup) caramel sauce
1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon sea salt flakes

Method

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 75 grams of popcorn kernels in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cover with a lid and cook until the kernels pop, shaking the pan occasionally.

Once the popping slows down, remove the pan from the heat and let it sit until the popping stops. Then, transfer the popcorn to a large bowl, leaving any unpopped kernels behind.

Drizzle 120 milliliters of caramel sauce over the popcorn and add 1 tablespoon of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt flakes on top for a salty kick.

Mix everything well until the popcorn is evenly coated with caramel and the chocolate chips begin to melt slightly.

Serve the caramel chocolate popcorn immediately or store it in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
