Candied Nuts recipe


This is a sweet and crunchy snack made with nuts covered in a sugary coating. We use spices and sugar to make the nuts taste extra yummy. They are good to eat by themselves or to put on other foods.


12 oz raw mixed nuts
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon water


Toast the mixed nuts in a large saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Add brown sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and butter to the pan. Stir until the butter melts and the ingredients are well combined.
Pour in the water and stir the mixture. Bring it to a boil and let it boil for 2 minutes, stirring often.
Remove the pan from heat and quickly spread the candied nuts in an even layer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Allow the nuts to cool completely, about 10 minutes. Once cooled, break the nuts into pieces.
Enjoy the candied nuts fresh or store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
