This is a yummy bowl with thin slices of beef and veggies. It has a sweet and savory sauce. You put it on top of rice. It's a fun dinner that tastes like it's from Korea!

Ingredients

400 g thinly sliced beef chuck or ribeye
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 medium carrot, julienned
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds, plus more for garnish
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp mirin
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp grated pear
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp minced ginger
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 cups cooked white rice
1 green onion, sliced for garnish

Method

Mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, grated pear, minced garlic, minced ginger, and black pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.

Add the beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the onion and carrot to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes until they start to soften.

Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked.

Stir in the sesame seeds and cook for another minute.

Divide the cooked rice among bowls.

Top the rice with the beef mixture.

Garnish with additional sesame seeds and green onion slices.
