Beef and Blue Cheese Burger with Garlic Green Beans recipe


This is a yummy beef burger with melted blue cheese on top. It comes with tasty green beans cooked with garlic. You make the burger with beef and put cheese on it. Then you cook the beans with garlic and eat them together.


1 small bunch green beans
113 g blue cheese
1 clove garlic
340 g lean ground beef
1/2 lemon
1 large red onion
1 large tomato
2 sesame seed buns
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano


Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Wash and trim the ends off the green beans. Place them on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle minced garlic over them. Squeeze lemon juice on top and season with salt and pepper.
Roast the green beans in the oven until they are tender, about 15 minutes, tossing halfway through.
While the green beans are roasting, crumble the blue cheese into a medium bowl.
Add the ground beef, smoked paprika, salt, and oregano to the bowl with the blue cheese; mix with your hands until well combined.
Form the beef mixture into 2 equal-sized patties and place them on a plate.
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Peel and cut the red onion into thick rings. Using paper towels, pat the onion rings dry.
Once the skillet is hot, add oil and swirl to coat the bottom. Add the patties and cook for about 4 minutes on one side.
Flip the patties and add the onion rings to the skillet. Cook the patties for another 4-5 minutes until they are cooked through, and the onion rings are softened and slightly charred.
Toast the sesame seed buns if desired.
Slice the tomato into rounds.
Place the bottom half of each bun on a plate, top with a tomato slice, a beef patty, and some caramelized onion rings. Add the top half of the bun.
Serve the burgers with the roasted garlic green beans on the side. Enjoy!
