This is a warm, gooey brie cheese baked with sweet pears and honey. It's a yummy treat with bread to dip. It's easy to make for friends or family!

Ingredients

2 ripe Pears, sliced
2 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp fresh Thyme leaves
1 Brie cheese round (250 g), in its wooden box
1 Baguette
50 g Butter, melted
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/4 Tsp Sea Salt
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper

Method

1
Preheat your oven to 180°C/356°F.
2
Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick pieces to make dipping soldiers. Set aside.
3
In a bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic. Brush the baguette slices with the garlic butter, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
4
Place the baguette slices on a baking tray in a single layer and bake for 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
5
While the bread is baking, remove the brie from its plastic wrapping and place it back in its wooden box without the lid.
6
Prick the top of the brie several times with a knife, and drizzle 1 Tbsp of honey over the cheese. Sprinkle with half of the thyme leaves.
7
Slice the pears and arrange them around the brie on a baking tray. Drizzle the pears with the remaining honey, olive oil, and sprinkle with the rest of the thyme, salt, and pepper.
8
Place the tray with the brie and pears into the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the brie is soft and the pears are tender.
9
Remove from the oven and serve immediately with the crispy baguette soldiers for dipping into the gooey brie and enjoying the honeyed pears.
